What would the panelists add to our Top 10 list?
As the discussion progressed, panelists and viewers were all polled about their organization’s marketing results using the various Top 10 Marketing Must-Haves. Here are the results:
NEW INITIATIVES IN DIGITAL SELF-SERVICE, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND MORE The sales and marketing panelists were then asked what they would add to their marketing mix in 2017. Their replies were notable. One articulated the challenge of marketing in the digital age, stating, “In the digital economy, everyone wants immediate value.” This panelist described adding a digital self-service tool to her organization’s marketing toolbox in 2017. No doubt a strategy whose time has come. Another panelist observed that, “Customer Experience is the new marketing.” Elaborating, she emphasized the value of giving the customer a great experience and developing and deepening the relationships between the marketing and customer experience teams as an important component in her marketing mix. The sales leaders in attendance described creating an effective and robust marketing eco-system and honing and refining the tools and strategies that go along with it. Syndicated Research was also cited as a key marketing initiative to add to the list of 2017 marketing options to budget for. An example provided included an organizational partnership with a leading university providing relevant research to customers. This research was then leveraged to create compelling content for marketing in blogs, white papers, press releases, sales tool and more.
